My guess is you are on my list because you are a ‘Healer’ or ‘Light Worker.’ It’s possible you are not even aware that you are a healer because you have never given it that title or identified your traits as a healing ability. Please don’t be turned off by the titles and read further to see if you are here to help heal your family, community, or planet or discover new ways of healing through innovations, discoveries or creations.
I am going to share parts of my story because I think you will be amazed and you may see yourself in ways of being and doing the way I live my life, too.
I didn’t know I was a healer even when I was a body worker for 17 years. I thought I was mastering interesting skills that I was called to master and that my training benefited others. I didn’t realize that, beyond my skills, my presence with my clients was healing in itself. People would call me a healer but I pooh-poohed it. I couldn’t receive their acknowledgments because I didn’t see my natural and trained gifts as “good enough,” because I really didn’t understand what being a healer meant nor did I truly know myself.
I thought healers had special powers and I definitely wasn’t a powerful person! I was a wounded child in an adult body who thought she was weak because she was so sensitive, not perfect and not smart enough based on childhood traumas. I attempted daily to feel “good enough” through my actions towards others. I longed for validation.
Does this sound familiar to you?
My value was wrapped around helping everyone around me and being my best for them so no one would see me as weak or broken. I vowed to be strong and not ask for help, to not have needs, to not be needy or weak. I vowed not to be a powerless and dumb female and wanted to be like a man, or have what we consider to be male traits: powerful, independent, free, strong. DOING was more important than BEING ME. I would give away my time and energy for free. I never wanted to upset anyone, make waves, or get someone angry with me.
I rationalized that, as long as I was needed, I would be taken care of, feel safe and loved and I wouldn’t be abandoned. I wanted everyone to like and love me even if it meant not valuing mySelf, my time and my energy.
Living for others first is exhausting, stressful, and unloving.
It wasn’t until I started my own healing journey that I discovered my true value and my purpose as a Healer & Light Worker. My wake-up call started in my early 40’s with hormonal health challenges that rocked my belief system and knocked it upside down. I had to turn my focus inward instead of outward in order to heal and grow. Those health challenges lead me on a mind/body/spirit healing path that continues up to today.
It is my experience that the calling forth of all Healers & Light Workers is stronger than ever and important to the healing of humanity and the planet right now.
Every day I see people struggling with their past programming that is holding them back and keep them from living their purpose and passion.
It is my calling to help those healers and light workers, who have not done their own healing and are not valuing their time and energy, heal their fears and limitations so they can be who they came here to BE, wealthy and healthy Healers & Light Workers. From this place of living your full potential and calling, you will impact greater healing of the planet and humanity.
Healing your wounds and traumas allows you to let go of your struggles, fears and limitations (love, money, energy etc.) and increases your power to facilitate more healing on the planet NOW!
Here are eight traits of a healer & light worker that Doreen Virtue identified and I agree with.
You are a healer and/or light worker if you:
-
Feel called to heal others.
-
Want to resolve the world’s social and environmental problems.
-
Believe that spiritual methods can heal any situation.
-
Have had mystical experiences, such as psychic premonitions or angelic encounters.
-
Have endured harsh life experiences that eroded the knowledge of your Divine perfection.
-
Want to heal your own life as a first step in healing the world.
-
Feel compelled to write, teach or counsel about your healing experiences.
-
Feel a sense of time urgency to fulfill your mission before you know that you are here for a higher purpose or even if you are unsure what it is or how to fulfill it.
